Articulated Gryphon (2009)
The articulated gryphon is part of a set of posable toys. Each has a body laser-cut from recycled or found materials- wood, acrylic, card. The head are hand sculpted and cast in Resin or Porcelain.
Braidies Styling case (2004)
The Bradies Salon Styling case was designed by Evolve (UK) for Tomy. I designed the Braidies bag and interior playset, and built the tooling model. The product sold up to 100,000 units.
Wind-me-up Fantail (2009)
Wind up Fantial is part of a set of kinetic toys. Looking at using digital technology such as laser cutting to recreate old childhood toy mechanisms. Wind-up Fanitl is made form wood, porcelain and leather.
Braidies Lockets (2005)
The Braidies Lockets were designed by Evolve for Tomy as part of the second year of the braidies range. Each locket thematically relates to the doll set. The lockets housed one doll each and could be worn by the child.
Kiwi Birds (2010)
The Kiwi birds are a range of New Zealand wildlife inspired toys. The form of each bird has been reduced down to their most simplistic elements. The fabric for each bird has been sourced from recycled clothing.
Noddy merry-go-round (2004)
The Noddy Merry-go-round game was designed by Seven Towns for Ravensburger. I worked with a team to design the game play, sculpted the noddy characters and worked on the development of the tooling model.
The Wrong Children (2009)
The Wrong Children are the toy designers rejects. Each night they get thrown in the bin as redundant ideas. Every evening they creap out eager to do what all good toys do, get to the toy shop. However the Wrong children were never able to keep on task, and all manner of trouble ensued. Designed as articulated toys and game elements.
